American Red Cross Babysitter Training Program
This course is designed to provide 11-15 year olds with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. Through hands-on activities, interactive video and lively discussions, this course will help participants to care for children and infants, develop leadership skills, keep themselves and others safe, handle emergencies such as injuries, illness, and household accidents as well as learn how to develop a babysitting business. The successful candidate will receive certification in American Red Cross First Aid.
Students are required to bring a self-addressed stamped envelope to the class.
An American Red Cross Babysitter's Kit will be available for purchase on the day of the class, but is not required. Kits cost $10 each and are payable in cash or check to the American Red Cross. Brown bag lunches are encouraged. The cost for this program is $40 per person. Registration begins immediately.
